Conal Tolan

I joined the Governing Body in December 2023 as a Foundation Governor. My son is currently in Year 6 at St John’s so I have a keen interest in the efficient running of the school and ensuring that the standards that are currently set are maintained for years to come. I am originally from Belfast and after getting my LLB at the University of Liverpool settled down in the Rock Ferry area.

I currently work as an Operations Manager and Quality Lead within Remediation Operations for NatWest Group. I have been within my role for the last 12 years since finishing University and my post graduate studies. This has provided me with experience in managing teams and people. We generally work with the many franchises through the group to support with remediation projects.

Stakeholder management is a big element of my role and ensuring that projects are managed efficiently and within budget. Another big element of my role is ensuring that we have the correct governance and processes in place for all actions taken, usually agreed through operational working groups. I am hoping that my experience provides me with the platform to be able to support the Governing Board wherever possible.

I am a keen golfer and a Celtic fan.
