at St. John’s Junior School

St John’s Catholic Junior School uses Edsential catering service to ensure our children's health and wellbeing is the primary consideration when considering their catering needs.   Mrs Hutchinson and her team are dedicated to ensuring they provide meals that are tasty, nutritious appetising to all our children.    

Our menu has been designed with the pupils and includes Nutritional Regulations. Please see Eat Well plate.   We regularly conduct student surveys when compiling new menus to allow children to have some input in their school meals.

Dinners Cost

Our school dinners are priced at £2.75 per day. Payments should be made using Parentmail app. If you require log in and password details or any support setting up Parentmail please email schooloffice@stjohns-junior.wirral.sch.uk. Mrs Lloyd is more than happy to support parents with this.  

Please note if your child has an outstanding dinner debt, they must bring a packed lunch until the debt is cleared. If you are struggling or need support from school, please email the school office. 

Free School Meals   

If you are receiving certain benefits, a FREE  school meal is available for your children at St John’s Catholic junior school BUT YOU MUST APPLY!

It is quick and easy using the online form at https://www.cloudforedu.org.uk/ofsm/sims-wirral/

If you need support with this please contact the school office @stjohns-juniuor.wirral.sch.uk for a consent form and our team will do this for you. 

The system will automatically check your eligibility and notify St John’s Catholic Junior school; your child will be entitled to a free school meal and the associated benefits, from the day we receive confirmation, so don't delay.
