at St. John’s Junior School
Staff at St. John’s will support your child by:
Providing a safe, secure and happy environment
Being highly motivated, enthusiastic and working hard to achieve the aims and vision of our school

Informing parents of progress at regular meetings
Creating an atmosphere of mutual respect between staff, pupils, parents/carers and, wider community
Parents will support their child by:
Working in partnership with the school community
Ensuring that their children arrive at school on time (8.50 am) each day and are absent only in
unavoidable circumstances (illness, family crisis, authorised holiday)Ensuring children wear the correct uniform
Reading with their children at home and learning their times tables.
Make a positive contribution to learning, giving due importance to homework and actively working
with their child whenever possible.Attending parent meetings to discuss progress
Encouraging children to bring the correct equipment to school
Encouraging children to do their best, become independent, responsible and resilient.
